Frank Schleck races for UCI ProTeam Leopard Trek along with his younger brother, Andy. An incredibly talented cyclist, Frank’s greatest achievements include winning a blue riband mountain stage in the 2006 Tour de France, the 2006 edition of the Amstel Gold Race classic, an alpine stage of the 2009 Tour de France ( finishing in the sole company of his brother Andy and Alberto Contador), as well as finishing third overall in the 2011 Tour de France.
Winning,
The Blue Riband mountain stage in the 2006 Tour de France
The 2006 edition of the Amstel Gold Race classic
An alpine stage of the 2009 Tour de France
Finishing third overall in the 2011 Tour de France.
What is there to say about Stuart O’Grady that hasn’t already been said? Having won everything worth winning on the track and road, he has a list of victories longer than most teams can claim to have. He is a friendly, universally liked rider with an honest, matter of fact way of finishing off a sprint. But his affability belies his capability to be tenacious and withstand more pain than perhaps should be natural.
The Australian O’Grady comes from a cycling family, and has excelled on the track, where Australia has been dominant in the Olympics and Commonwealth Games for many years. That he was able to transfer his success to the road is a testament to his talent since success on the track does not always lead to comparable success on the road.
O’Grady has won Grand Tour stages, worn the yellow jersey, and most famously won one of the most brutally hot Paris-Roubaix races in recent memory. O’Grady comes to the LEOPARD TREK cycling team with a wealth of knowledge and as undisputed road captain. His experience and good humour will make him an invaluable leader for the young squad.

Andy Schleck has had to deal with huge expectations and a certain amount of fame from a very young age. The younger of a cycling duo of brothers, Andy has finished on the podium of his first ever Grand Tour the 2007 Giro d’Italia. He has also come within one step of winning the Tour de France twice. He feels it is his time to grab the future with both hands.
A tall, slender climber, Andy has the talent to win in the hills and the determination to improve himself in the time trials. In the 2010 Tour de France, he was the general classification candidate who finished best on the cobbled stage early in the race, and he also made a considerable improvement in his time trialing results.
His ability to win races does not stop with the Grand Tours. Rather he has also carted away the Queen of the Ardennes Classics, the Liège–Bastogne–Liège and finished second at the Fleche Wallone, both in 2009. A Luxembourg hero, Andy Schleck will hope to ride with his brother to fight for victory at the Tour de France for the LEOPARD TREK professional racing team.

If there was a popularity contest in cycling, there would be little doubt in many people’s minds who would come out on top. No matter the country, no matter the age group, most people would be hard pressed to think of a more popular rider than Jens Voigt. The long-time professional has raced his career with aplomb and honour, never taking anything for granted, nor taking a victory he did not earn.
Jens started his athletic career mostly as a way to blow off youthful energy. But his talent and his capacity to suffer took him to the front ranks of the East German racing world in which he grew up. Jumping from East German to Western European race circuits, Voigt grew into a top rouleur who could power away from the peloton going at full speed. His natural enthusiasm means that he is a habitual attacker; he hates to sit and hide in the peloton for 250 kilometers only to race for the final 10. His penchant for impressive if ultimately often unsuccessful attacks is one of the things that marks him as a favourite among cycling fans.
Voigt comes to LEOPARD TREK to find new motivation for himself as well as to imbue the team with his own joy for the sport. Though he is approaching an age at which many cyclists often call it a day, Voigt shows no signs of slowing down, and so long as he can contribute to the race, he will probably race till he’s 50!
