It's Back...USA Pro Challenge OFFERS Fans CHANCE TO DESIGN Official Commemorative Poster FOR 2015 RACE AND WIN VIP RACE PACKAGE National Contest Celebrates Artists Who Inspire Cycling Community!
DENVER (March 26, 2015) – The 2015 USA Pro Challenge will continue a successful tradition to host a nationwide contest on Facebook beginning today, inviting artists to create a national event poster for the fifth annual race that will be seen throughout the world.
The national poster contest results in one person winning the main spotlight and fame of designing the official USA Pro Challenge race poster. Artists from across the country can make submissions, with members of the Pro Challenge social media audience helping to select a winner. The USA Pro Challenge team will ultimately decide the winner, and that winning design will be produced and sold to race fans online as well as on-site during the race in August.
"The first year we held the contest we were surprised at the popularity among our fans and decided to make it an annual tradition," said Shawn Hunter, CEO of the USA Pro Challenge. "The caliber of the designs we receive each year is impressive and we’re excited to see those artistic talents on display again with the 2015 entries. This past year our race partner, Lexus, was so fond of the winning design, they decided to wrap the lead pace car with it."
The Facebook contest encourages everyone from amateurs to established professionals to join in on the fun and submit designs via the USA Pro Challenge Facebook page starting March 26, 2015. Entries will be accepted until Friday, April 24, 2015, after which fans can vote on their favorite poster through May 1st, 2015. The Winner will be announced on May 10th, 2015.
All artists who submit artwork are encouraged to use the beauty of the Colorado landscape as well as the drive and athleticism of the professional cyclists and teams as their muse.
Once entries are submitted, the race’s thousands of loyal Facebook fans will have a chance to cast their votes for the 10 best national posters. From there, the Pro Challenge team will select the winner. The winner will receive four passes to the VIP hospitality tent in the city of their choice, in addition to having his/her poster produced and sold to fans both online and onsite during the race August 17-23.
All entries must be submitted via the USA Pro Challenge Facebook contest page (only online entries will be eligible). This requires either that the artwork be in digital media format or that a digital photograph of the artwork be posted in accordance with the rules, terms and conditions adopted by Facebook. Each file must be in JPEG format and otherwise comply with Facebook’s requirements for posting.
This is a skill-based contest and chance plays no part in the determination of winners. There is no fee to enter and no purchase is required. Official rules for the program can be found at www.facebook.com/USAProChallenge.
