Arapahoe Basin Host City Highlight

Arapahoe Basin Ski Area is known for its long ski season and authentic Colorado vibe, but the fun doesn't stop just because the skiing does! Join A-Basin's two-day festival of concerts, camping and cycling on Monday, August 17 and on the day of the USA Pro Challenge Stage 2 finish - Tuesday, August 18, 2015. If you've never been to The Legend in the summer, bike up Loveland Pass (following the same route at the pros) and experience the natural beauty of the Continental Divide. Sample one of our famous A-Basin Bacon Bloody Marys and hang out with the "funnest" people in Summit County.

A-Basin's two festival villages will be bustling with activity on race day, with plenty of activities for the entire family. On Tuesday, take a free spin on the Black Mountain Express lift to mid-mountain for stunning views of wildflowers and the breathtaking East Wall. After, head to the Base Area Village for lawn games, kids' activities and beverages at the 6th Alley Bar & Grill. In the afternoon, head up to the High Noon Festival Village for more fun! Enjoy street food, libations, live race coverage and our "Kid of the Mountain" kids' bike race! Save your spot to see the pros cross the finish line after their grueling stage 2 mountain finish.

Live music fans familiar with A-Basin's Shakin' at the Basin concert series will be excited to learn that both Monday and Tuesday nights will feature free concerts that are open to the public. On Monday night, rock out with Brother's Keeper with John Popper of Blues Traveler and special guest The Samples. On Tuesday, stick around after the Stage 2 finish for tunes from the Freddy Jones Band and another guest TBD.

For the first time, the ski area will have reserved camping spots for the most loyal cycling enthusiasts, available to book online at arapahoebasin.com/prochallenge. All camping spots are good for two nights: 8/17 and 8/18, and give spectators some of the best views of the race.
